The Maurienne valley in Savoie is without doubt the longest Alpine valley, stretching 120 km between Italy and the Hautes-Alpes. It abounds in treasures, mythical passes and authentic villages. These include Valmeinier 1500, where the youth hostel is located. Located at the foot of the slopes in winter, you have access to the Galibier Thabor ski area with its 90 runs for all levels.
