During this kayaking weekend in Marseille, discover or rediscover the renowned Parc national des Calanques from a new vantage point: directly from the sea! You will be supervised by qualified professionals who will teach you the technical rudiments of sea kayaking. They also share with you their knowledge of local biodiversity and the flora and fauna of the Parc national des Calanques, and take you to places little known to the general public and inaccessible on foot.
You’ll be staying in a Second Empire-style château set in a quiet, wooded neighborhood that offers travelers an unobstructed panoramic view of the city of Marseille.
The youth hostel HI Marseille – Château Bois Luzy is particularly popular with sports-minded travelers, as it offers a number of handball, soccer, volleyball and tennis courts nearby.
Stay details
Day 1
Arrival at the youth hostel HI Marseille – Château Bois Luzy. Discovery of the establishment and installation in the rooms.
Dinner and night at the youth hostel.
Day 2
Breakfast at the youth hostel. Departure for a full-day kayak excursion (8:30am to 5pm) in the calanques of Marseille, Cassis or on the Côte Bleue, depending on the weather and your level. Explore the white cliffs and turquoise waters at your leisure.

Day 3
Breakfast at the youth hostel. Departure at 8am for a kayak trip from Callelongue cove, the first cove in the Marseilleveyre massif. Then follow the guide through the islands of the Riou archipelago. A nature reserve with 4 islands famous for the many species of birds that live there.

Day 4
Breakfast at the youth hostel, then departure at 10am.
