Day 1
Arrival at the youth hostel HI Amiens.
Discovery of the establishment and installation in the rooms.
Dinner and overnight at the youth hostel.
Day 2
Morning: Guided tour of the Mémorial Terre-Neuvien de Beaumont-Hamel. This building makes a tribute to all Terre-Neuviens who served Canada during the First World War. Students walk through a beautifully preserved network of trenches.
Packed lunch.
Afternoon: Visit of the Somme 1916 museum which retraces military life during the First World War. It is housed in an underground passage 250 meters long and 10 meters deep. Sound effects, images and lighting immerse visitors in the daily lives of the soldiers.
Dinner and overnight at the youth hostel.
Day 3
Morning: Visit to the Historial de Péronne a reference museum dedicated to the First World War, covering the conflict in all its military, social and cultural dimensions. Educational workshop offered.
Packed lunch.
Afternoon: Guided tour of the Circuit du souvenir which extends over many kilometers and which allows you to discover the main battlefield sites of the Somme. Discover three memorial sites of different nationalities.
End of stay.
