What is ESUS approval?
The Entreprise Solidaire d’Utilité Sociale (ESUS) accreditation, issued by the French government, is reserved for Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) organizations that place social utility and general interest at the heart of their project. To obtain this accreditation, the organization must meet strict criteria, including:
-> A clearly defined social or environmental objective that takes precedence over the profit motive.
-> A controlled remuneration policy, guaranteeing ethical pay.
-> Reinvestment of profits in the company’s social mission.
-> Democratic and transparent governance, involving all stakeholders.
